Working in Macao is subject to local income tax. People earning an income of MOP$95,000 or below a year are exempted from tax, but those having an annual income in excess of that amount have to pay income tax(Chinese version only) at a progressive rate from 7% to 12%, depending on the actual amount of income earned. One should also observe the tax regulations of Hong Kong. For details, please visit the website of Hong Kong Inland Revenue Department.
